I might be in the minority here but I don't think signing Perry would be a very good idea. He may be a veteran player, who can still play and be effective. However, the fact he got so quickly let go by his team, and the question marks around his departure, make it seem not worth the risk to me.

They were saying the same thing about Evander Kane.
On the other hand, my only gripe with the Oilers signing Corey Perry is that he is Stanley Cup poison (see his stints in Montreal and Tampa Bay).

I am just as excited as I am apprehensive about Tuesday's game. The Leafs will likely be the toughest challenge we had in quite some time, and our home record isn't necessarily the best.
