moving their HQ downtown - to the old Stantec office building on 112 Street? Approx 200 employees
will be moving to that location

He's just being realistic. How many rezoning proposals actually get defeated by organized NIMBY groups? Perhaps there's a better way, but city council and city planning can't be held hostage by these groups

Is it possible they've saved the brick and will rebuild the structure? I rode by a few weeks ago and that's what it looked like to me at least

Sadly, we really have so few older character buildings remaining and between the neglect, actively tearing them down and fires even fewer every year.

You would think we would value and appreciate them a bit more, but it seems to currently be a thing people here don't really care about much.

Yet oddly so many people here spend thousands and thousands to travel to places with more of it. I suppose there is always Manchester Square.
