Has this area been a part of discussions for redevelopment? Every time I'm around here, I have always thought it would look much better if the commercial at the bottom stayed intact but the top of the buildings were expanded to have skyscrapers on top. With other skyscrapers built in the excess parking lot spaces.

Planner Description: This application proposes to rezone the subject site from (RF3) Small Scale Infill Zone to (DC2) Site Specific Development Control Provision to allow for the development of a mid rise residential building. Key characteristics include: - a maximum height of 23 metres (approx. 6 storeys); - a maximum Floor Area Ratio of 3.7; and - a maximum density of 79 units. To accommodate the rezoning, an amendment to the Belgravia / McKernan Station Area Redevelopment Plan (ARP) is also proposed as the ARP limits development at this location to no more than 4 storeys.
