Misc. Parks and Greenspace Projects

Not only that but grass acts as mulch, holding in soil moisture among numerous other benefits. Lawn makes me yawn!

Unfortunately it seems like the city has forgotten how to cut grass around trees. Very overgrown everywhere it seems
Worse yet is the City offers (or offered?) a program where you could have a tree planted with a little plaque in honour of a loved one and part of the payment you make includes them maintaining the tree and tree bed, yet almost every one I see has weeds/grass severely overgrown around it.

Forestry is supposed to have trim crews that cut the grass and weeds around their tree beds, but it must be severely understaffed because you hardly see any done. No idea why it isn't just a blended function between turf and horticulture who both already have trim crews. They all go to the same parks and public spaces.

A great resting spot somewhere along my hike south of Snow Valley.
