Mass Timber Buildings of 6 to 8 storeys are gaining prominence in North American cities and are beautiful inside and out (by the way, Edmonton already has a couple in the Boardwalk and the Revillon). I would like to see more in the low/midrise mixed-use apartment building genre.

Very interesting. I suppose it is better than a big empty space that can't be filled with anything else and if people start to realize it is back perhaps it might draw a few more customers.
