Flair has scheduled a 2023 outlook news conference for Wednesday so we'll know more then, I'm sure
"WestJet is making a substantial addition to its fleet with the purchase of 42 aircraft as the airline plans to expand its low-cost offerings, with plans to add routes to sun destinations from cities across Canada." https://globalnews.ca/news/9166161/westjet-purchases-boeing-737-10-max-planes/Love to see it although Swoop seats can be lumped in with Westjet.
Anecdotally seeing less complaints about Flair on delays and other issues. The one I’ve seen a lot recently is issues with their online check-in system.
Hopefully they can keep filling planes and charge a decent amount for their seats ($49 for a trip anywhere is just crazy). Wonder if a YEG- New York route, being big for tourists, could be in their future even a couple times a week.

No doubt - Edmonton is not a HUB or even a Focus City like Winnipeg or Halifax for WestJet. We rate as insignificant for Westjet. I think Edmontonians and people from Northern Alberta should turn our backs on Westjet.Interesting to see WestJet focus on "low cost offerings" - speaks to the competition they are getting from Edmonton-based Flair.
Does WestJet actually say what areas they think of as hubs? Pretty sure Edmonton staff are at least WestJet staff while Winnipeg and Halifax are outsourced. No doubt - Edmonton is not a HUB or even a Focus City like Winnipeg or Halifax for WestJet. I wouldn't say that's accurate.WESTJET Wiki
