Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) in Edmonton

That video was made by an edgelord. Edmonton could only dream of a system like what Brisbane (or even Ottawa) built for their BRT.
Ottawa and Brisbane both got to the point where the bus lane became saturated. Ottawa then built a system with higher capacity to deal with the problem whereas Brisbane just keeps piling on more and more buses. Big difference

Big difference from Edmonton as well, who wisely built the higher capacity system first (LRT) and are now looking to augment it. That said, what's proposed in the mass transit plan doesn't involve dedicated busways or higher capacity vehicles.

I’m guessing that this topic won’t be touched until the next administration is elected.

LOVE me some Blines, but some routes were a bit interesting, but I don't follow this enough.

I think one sticking point could be whether there are a lot of students that commute from North Edmonton to NAIT. NAIT is also served by routes like 8 and 110X. I think Option 1 97 Street NB and 101 Street SB might work the best. It’s more direct.

Directness is good, but directly connecting to major destinations like option 3 would likely drive more ridership.
