EverTrust is new to the game in Canada but their founder did very well in China and supposedly has deep pockets. Not sure how high the chances are this gets built as a two tower project but I think if it does it'll be high quality.

I wonder if this project will actually be condos or go rental, considering the pressure on home sales of any kind right now with interest rates, price declines, etc.

It's got that skinny-tower unit separation that is typical of a Condo, but your points are valid and it may end up being rentals.

I'd bet rentals... and that would be wonderful to see for the area as it continues to evolve.

Not bad, but I always think it's a miss when projects of this density don't include commercial. If I'm living in a high density building like this, I want the benefits of a high density neighbourhood, which should be walkable amenities.

Chicken and the egg... density is needed.

There are a few spots that are walkable along Jasper and there right now and Little Italy or 82st/112Ave are both reasonable walks as well.

What’s interesting to me is the non-local (to even Alberta) developers taking such an interest in this specific area. Exciting project… here’s hoping.

Every time I take the LRT and pass that area, I’ve always wondered if anything was being planned for it. It's nice to see something is being planned to potentially happen there.

Hard to say. Rising rates are going to have a dramatic impact on any new development rentals included. Hopefully they can make a go of it though. The area needs projects like this.
