As someone who has seen the UBC Trust develop since 1997, a bit hard to compare but here's hoping we get something akin to Edmonton.

Not that much further to hop on the LRT to South Campus and keep in mind all U of A students have a u-pass so no cost.Clare Drake is a gem, should be tastefully updated and retained on the main campus.
Walking down from 'Rez' or heading over to the main campus in the fall for a couple at Deweys or RATT and then walking over is one of the best experiences at the UofA.
There was a plan to build an addition west of the current rink over the service road and on part of the old football field which would have updated CD and found a nice balance of providing 'that would have two ice rinks, multipurpose rooms, classrooms and space for the faculty of kinesiology, sport, and recreation’s (KSR) High-Performance Athlete Training and Research Centre.' this scope as well.
It would be one thing if the new rink were to be built at the LRT station, but the latest plan has it on the far side of the Saville, so you can enjoy a nice 10 minute walk along the backside of a warehouse to the rink, or you could walk through the huge surface parking lot on the other side, if you'd like. Not that much further to hop on the LRT to South Campus and keep in mind all U of A students have a u-pass so no cost.
Continue to erode? How has it been eroded up to this point? Does building a tonne of new buildings and refurbing old ones count as eroding?Way to continue to erode the main campus experience so they can head off to a lifeless building in the middle of a field.
No thanks.
