The Mercury Block II | Hodgson Schilf Evans

OMG, this reminds me of the apartment my ex's company rented for us in Fort Mac. You guessed it - "luxury apartments"! It came furnished with the cheapest, plastickiest, faux-woodiest pieces of crap furniture EVER and the finishings were vile. It also came with all the luxurious kitchen stuff that included a luxury kettle that started to smoke when I tried to boil water in it.
Gosh, it was posh! 🤣 🧐

It should have been called "Adequate Vinyl Planking". LVP is the furthest thing from luxury (not to mention it is toxic) - I hate what marketing and PR firms have done to us.
Some LVP is very high quality now. More expensive than wood even. And if you have children, dogs, etc then hardwood is a huge expense that’s guaranteed to be badly beat up.

Or, buy a house with 100--year old hardwood that's already scratched, dented, etc., but in decent shape generally, and don't worry about it haha

I've had hardwood for 7 years with 3 cats and a dog, and you can't tell. I'm also not on my hands and knees inspecting the flooring though.

The baseboards are another matter...
