A unique little development proposed by Brian Allsopp Architect for the two-street fronted site between University Avenue and 76th Avenue is aptly called "Breathing Space" -- what a spectacular idea melded to the ideal site. The Architecture with its butterfly roof and settled "infill/missing middle" look is very well done.

Hey @IanO thanks for referencing Ragazzi - I browsed their menu and may try them sometime soon.
I hope that TD Bank location is reconfigured or relocated because I found it a bit awkward navigating thru there with their drive-thru ATM hogging the west side.

I am not expecting this TD to be reconfigured or moved any time soon
 
Considering that TD is a Big 5 bank that is currently renovating their downtown branch and recently relocated another branch from Unity Square to the Brewery District, a relocation or renovation of this branch may be chump change to them.

In any case, I look forward to seeing this retail strip transformed into a highrise TOD that will complement similar highrise TOD development at Bonnie Doon Mall. That's what gonna happen, right?

Agreed - Ragazzi just underwent some significant reno's (or remediation of some sort) and the building is likely to be demolished shortly. I don't think TD, as a huge bank, would linger at that prominent corner, as is, for much longer.

8112 won't be a highrise, it was just rezoned to CB1 (Low intensity business zone) which allows a maximum height of 12m. You can have a look at the permitted uses here.
