I sat in on this facade improvement; it is primarily for the sunken retail, but will look a bit updated.

How amazing would it be if these became cafes, restaurants and other local amenities.The City is soliciting the sale of three designated heritage homes in the Oliver area. Here's hoping someone creative steps forward to buy them:

It's not the first to be a sustainable development or so, just the first to hold this specific certification, which comes attached with certain standards (mostly based on a few successful European developments).The "yoga" lawns sold me, haha. Built Green’s Communities Pilot sounds really good. But as to the title of the Journal article, "A National First"? - or just journal marketing? I think Canada is starting to see lots of "sustainable community design". Blatchford comes to mind. Great price points at 300's for a townhouse, and lots of good thought into the concept. Maybe this project is a "first' for this organization regarding sustainable community design? That's what I'm not following...
