Miscellaneous

I believe someone mentioned a while back that this was forthcoming. I know Triovest was also looking at reconfiguring their food court and pedway retail as well.
Curious to see their plans. Personally, I love the exterior on ATB, just think the concrete finish needs some TLC.

i don’t believe that’s anywhere near enough $$$ for a recladding…
Yes you are correct--I forgot that ATB Place means ATB Place Tower and Telus House Tower, I was thinking just the former.

Shaping up to be a nice improvement.

A look way back.

I wonder if they will be going ahead with this mural on the west wall as per the building website.

From the website:

Local artist RAD Originals was selected from a nationwide call for submissions for a new mural on the west face. At its completion, the mural will be approximately 42.4 meters in height, making it one of the tallest public art installations in western Canada.

I wish the sandman would do a mural facing 103ave. Such a massive beige wall.

I would rather a regional rail line utilizing CPKC’s right of way from Whyte Ave to the airport and Leduc servicing the area.

The City’s Mass Transit Plan calls for both:

Although I think we will see BRT well before we see an airport rail link. And I’m guessing we won’t see BRT operational until ~2030. I expect funding to construct and operate BRT routes B1 and B2 will come in the 2027-30 budget.

(If anyone has more accurate information please let me know.)

The front verandas were just removed from this multi unit townhouse along 102 Ave between 118-119 streets.

I spoke to one of the 'former' tenants who was there picking up his mail but had recently been given 30 days notice and now is no longer living there. Nobody is.

These were below market housing I believe. He didn't know what was going to become of them - renovated or sold off or torn down and redeveloped.

Anybody know?
