A L'OCA downtown or in Wihkwentowin would go crazy

Maybe Warehouse District? Podium of Parks?
Warehouse District in 5 years will be ready for something like this. A major project, like what Lamb proposed would be great right now.

A slightly higher local population base and the LRT running will go a long way in making the area feel alive.

driving distance, yes. But an affluent area that is in need of a quality grocer. Loblaws is crap and Paddy's is gone now. I think an Italian Centre or L'Oca would do very well if the RAM survives...

Yes, that's a good idea, more of an upscale quality store rather than a discount one and this spot is about half way in between two existing but not fancy grocery stores so actually nothing similar really close by.

I'm especially sorry to hear this, because they had an Instagram post a few days ago saying they were temporarily closed due to a "serious" health issue of the owner.
Yeah that makes more sense, I know they were closed a few days for doctor appointments. The owner is a really nice guy so hopefully it works out, also noticed their yelp page mentioned a re-open date of March 5th but who knows.

I had seen a sign on their door some days ago (on Friday, I think?) that said they were closed for a couple days for Lunar New Year. I hope that they bounce back, or at least that the owner is alright.

There's nothing in the Cloverdale neighborhood, so I'm glad there's finally a coffee shop there.
