Having the McD golden arches illuminated on the tallest building in Edmonton would the absolute height of tackiness and will help cement Edmonton's reputation as a laughingstock. LED lighting without ads would work though.

I would still love to see the north and south fins of Stantec illuminated with LEDs.

I’m thinking more of what they have with Edmonton tower but on stantec. They already have LED on JWs crown. They could sync all of them together.

I think they would have got better luck getting this approved if they didn't pitch the LED billboards. Tastefully done LEDs without ads would have been awesome.

I feel like they would eventually on stantec since they already have them on Edmonton tower and JW. I just don’t know why they haven’t yet.

The new owners of the Stantec tower are not likely to institute any aesthetic changes for some time.

Pedways were pretty busy this weekend. Grabbed this pictures while grabbing a few things from City Market for a few days at the JW. Saw a number of others doing the same this weekend. Decent amount of people sitting around at different times, but some small food spots would be really nice.

When I go by at lunch time, that food seating area is becoming quite busy. The only thing missing are food places.

A missed opportunity 4 years ago. They had it all planned and ready to go. They were moving toward having that space licensed as well. Then a slowdown hit plus covid then the sale of the building.

i'm not sure how much of missed opportunity it was 4 years ago. it probably saved a host of new businesses from going bankrupt over the past 4 years with those spaces being empty either way. it might better be described as a bullet dodged than a missed opportunity...

With city market in place and a pedway to there and the plaza finally establishing itself, this is now a better time for businesses to populate the food court.
