I am excited at this project. It fills another hole in terms of additional residential and is actually pedestrian sized being 6 stories high. Not everything has to be a phallic symbol.
I think you are missing the point. It doesn’t have to be a high rise just something that doesn’t look like it was transplanted from the burbs.
 
To clarify what I was getting at. The market rate for a new wood construction mid-rise rental is lower than the market rate for a new construction concrete high-rise. I'd expect rents to be around what Abbey Park is offering, which is right in line with @IanO's range of $2.25-2.5/sqft.

This should make the building more affordable than all other new downtown apartments.
It is also in an area near one educational institution and not far from another one, so perhaps putting affordability ahead of prestige makes more sense in this location.
 
I wonder why this one isn't showing on their website. I am sure it will be fine and is a good location. I think i saw some angled support columns on the corner similar to what the Parks are planning.
 
Was hoping Grandin 2 / Ice Tower was gonna break ground next....hopefully they will be the next, next project to break ground....
