Edmonton Real Estate Market

The Alberta Hotel and Lodging Assoc. has a new report out and while Edmonton has some positive RevPAR growth, it also highlights why we are not seeing new properties of a certain type/location (ie. upmarket/Downtown) enter the market given the gap between comparable cities.

That report is almost 25 years old. I imagine the developer that purchases the site will submit an application to revise if they feel the economics warrant it.
 
Alberta is calling.

I understand why Edmonton is below most of those places on the list but not sure I follow why it would be cheaper than Winnipeg. Edmonton is larger and has seen faster population growth recently. That one I'm not sure makes sense to me.
