Neighbour's condo just sold for list. Their realtor said that was the 8th Downtown sale they have had in the last month.

I feel ya man. If I can break even It sets me up to move to North Washington state and buy some land. The lenders are saying the condo is a financial boat anchor.

Just found out another home 4 door up from mine sold privately 2 weeks ago. Couple are already moved out. Bought a place about 4 blocks away in the older section of my neighborhood and are renovating the property. then a couple of blocks over there are 3 houses for sale on smaller properties. Have been up for 2 weeks now. I guess I live on the hot street. No home lasts more than a week when they go on sale.
However we do have a coyote problem again this year. have one prowling along the fence line of our properties.

Quite impressive for Edmonton considering it has over half the starts of Toronto and only a third the population (even less at 17% of the population of the GTA). Halifax is very impressive as well with more starts than Ottawa which is more than twice the size.

Seems to partially explain why Vancouver and Toronto are much more expensive markets. It doesn't look like either Edmonton or Calgary will be experiencing a housing shortage any time soon.
