Edmonton music concerts

Ya had some friends not so happy about how the cancellation was handled. Hopefully everything is okay but Rogers staff said they've never seen this before, right before they're supposed to go on.

On a positive note, Downtown was buzzing after, bars and patios full.

I call bullshit. There was a similar issue with Fleetwood Mac a few years ago where they had to cancel their gig about 90 minutes before show time because Stevie Nicks fell ill.

I saw Billy Idol in a smallish club in L.A. a number of years back playing with Pete Townshend from the Who and Pete's younger brother Simon with Zak Starkey (Ringo's son) on drums -- it was a treat for a guitarist to experience. Usually, however, Billy tours with guitarist Steve Stevens.

Country music is a lot stronger here than a lot of people give it credit for, maybe because of the very automatic association that most people make with Country/Stampede/Calgary.
Luke Bryan is going to be another sellout crowd on April 18, and finding Zach Bryan (last name variation be damned) tickets is becoming challenging, and expensive, even over 6 months away from the concert.
