It looks much shorter now

It's still ~149m, or Manulife height. That's not too bad.

@archited I'm still kinda digesting the design, but having looked at it a bit more closely: I like the articulation of the south elevation of the tower. I kinda like the "floating" grid that frames the east wall (a nice throwback to International Modernism). Podium is cool and full of active uses.

Not sure I like the unbrokenness of the east elevation, though, I feel it could have used at least one point of articulation to make it feel less like a giant wall. I'm meh on the crown, it's not bad, but feels unnecessary.

ya it's too bad it looks shorter than the old rendering i saw, but i like this one and having it the size of Manulife is passible. at least it isn't a shorty like COE at a measly 111 meters or so? that building could have looked great with the bow in the middle if it had just been significantly taller. oh well, lack of demand or funds for it to be higher, what are you gonna do?

@MetroEd Edmonton Tower is about 130m, but point taken. At least with Stantec & JW, Pearl in the west end and soon Emerald in the middle, no one will be able to say we have a "tabletop" skyline in a couple of years!
