Or you just enjoy wandering in a warm humid environment with living green things in the middle of the dead winter.Good for the lungs and the soul and I don’t know much about biophilic things.

For those who know about him, CityNerd (Ray Delahanty) a popular urbanist Youtuber based primarily in the States is tentatively planning a visit to Edmonton in Late July. Interested to see what comes of this as a fan of his work. I'm hoping for a city visit type video, a bit like the ones he's done for cities like most recently Atlanta.

“I couldn’t believe my eyes,” Thanh Lu said. “I was screaming and woke up the household.”

But Lu won’t be an Edmontonian for much longer.

“I want to get out of here,” he said. “I am thinking of moving to B.C. for nicer weather and property on the waterfront.”
 
All I know is he'll be facing astronomical property values if he's thinking about moving to the west coast or the Okanagan. IMO there are far better usages of that $30M.

Wow!!! Jealosy perhaps???

It's surprising (not :( ) how much some people seem to assume about others they know nothing about and about how many people seem to think they know more about how others should use their money (I wonder if they would give that much control over their own finances to someone they don't even know?).

Yes. This guy probably didn't expect to win and is processing it, probably not someone with experience in talking to the media or even an interest in that.

So maybe he didn't say this as elegantly as some people would like, but there could be other good reasons for his intentions and we shouldn't be too quick to take offense.

He won $30 million. I don't think those things are a major issue for him if he's smart with his money.
