What a coincidence that months after the pandemic forced western Canada’s Army & Navy chain to close in its 101st year, the store would see a brief resurrection in Edmonton.

Oh yeah. That pedestrian permeability is a winner. Perfect for that corner.

Much better and 110% approved by me! I'm glad they had revised the most important structure which is the corner from white to brick...

Someone with inside clout, could you inquire of the mural and their plans with it? Will it be salvaged?

That rooftop patio, as I revisit the excitement, could it use a canopy? I wouldn't mind one where vine plants can grow on top of it while vegetables like like pumpkins and peas straddle underneath. If that was a consideration, just make sure it is twice as high as that glass railing...
It would soften out the entire form design and focused even more on that corner structure. Other than that...

If Edgar following the lead of Vancouver places, it will have a simple manual/retractable vinyl covering for the patio.

That is an absolutely phenomenal looking development. Looooove this iteration way more, the pedestrian activation and the treatment of the old Royal Bank building is head and shoulders above V1. Get this thing going!

That active alley and small hidden plaza reminds me of some of my favorite spots in Victoria. Would be awesome to see a microbrewery and/or a cafe with a patio back there. Love it
