Yes, that's an issue. Going 6 blocks is not a big deal, 19 is a much bigger detour

I know there’s been talk about 137 Ave as a BRT route from other threads. I think this would be a popular route. There could be priority signals at major. Intersections. I think the major stops would include Clareview, Londonderry, 97 Street, 113 A Street, Campbell Road and other stops.

Doing this to the residents on 76th Ave would be evil. 63rd Ave is right there. The BRT line will more than make up for East/West capacity. The BRT line also doubles as an emergency vehicle express lane.

I wonder if the Whyte Avenue route could have eastbound detouring south at 105 Street to 80 Avenue, going east to Gateway Boulevard and north to Whyte, turning right to resume its east course. Traffic tie-ups on Whyte would be reduced, and there could be stops at 105 Street and 102 Street, and another at 80 Avenue/Calgary Trail.
