    Encore Tower | 138m | 43s | Westrich Pacific | Dub Architects

All Construction Management, yes. But the work is still determined by Westrich's design and subcontracted out. The quality has gotten better from their previous products (i.e. Ultima), but has a long way to go.

    The Parks | 146.91m | 45s | 35s | 13s | Pangman | Hariri Pontarini

Just an FYI, the "Doan's Restaurant" site to the east is not by the same contractor. It is separate to the Parks project.

    CNIB Redevelopment | 106m | 32s | ONE Properties | Wallman Architects

This crane is on the Leg Annex, working in tandem with the high-reach excavator!

    Stantec Tower | 250.84m | 66s | ICE District Prop.

I'd say Encore is the closest comparable. Never said SKY was a good value, quite the opposite actually. Just pointing out that Ultima is a very poor value even at the low pricing. They are relying on the 'prestige' of the tower height for their sales numbers. Keep in mind the lowest units in...

    Stantec Tower | 250.84m | 66s | ICE District Prop.

I'd have to argue that Ultima is cheap for a reason, it's one of the most poorly constructed residential towers I've seen. Agree that SKY is over pricing their units, but Ultima is a very poor example for a standard.

    Connect Centre | 56.3m | 16s | ONE Properties | DIALOG

It's solid terracotta with no bonding panel

There's no water feature there, just a large intake duct!

Logistically easier yes, I wouldn't say it has an impact on safety though. Keep in mind that many tenants were in the Stantec tower while the structure was still being built above.

Exactly this. Keep in mind this tax break has been in the works and yet the tower crane was still removed from site recently, this isn't an overnight process. I don't expect any boots on the ground for the tower portion in the next year.

Tower crane has now been removed from site.

    Stantec Tower | 250.84m | 66s | ICE District Prop.

Like Familia says, that was a cold weather test and nothing was installed in the end.

    Stantec Tower | 250.84m | 66s | ICE District Prop.

FYI there are no lights installed so could be waiting quite a while

It's definitely possible. SKY was under construction while Stantec tower was occupied.

I can't see that happening honestly with them not downsizing the columns being poured and putting a tower crane in place. I'd imagine there would have been some cost savings if preparation for a tower wasn't required.

Was Scotiabank ever going to be in the Northwest? They started construction on the Northeast a month or two ago.

First form and rebar are stood and being closed up! Finally some action.

Some more materials are being dropped off on site today, no additional workers as of yet. A separate crew is installing a wall of metal panels on scaffolding across the east face of the site, most likely to hide the site from any media shots from the NHL bubble.

Finally some good news on this one. The crane is operating again and rebar cages for columns are being unloaded this morning.

Well I guess that's as good of news as we could hope for right now. The on site crews had put some temporary seals on the elevator shafts last week so I'm hoping this means we'll see some more action and concrete work starting shortly.
