"Those Edmontonians, they're simple folk. As long as it's got Spandrel they'll keep quiet"

    McKernan Gates | 24.99m | 6s | Niche Developments | MoDA

Oh man, what a stunner. Well done, MoDA! I really hope this starts a trend towards good design for low rise development in our city.

    Southpark on Whyte | 50.9m | 16s | ONE Properties | GBL Architects

It's horrific compared to what was originally proposed. I understand economics and plans can change, but this is so disappointing for such a important lot on one of our most vibrant streets. It really doesn't set a good precedent for future projects on Whyte in my opinion.

    HSBC Bank Place Revitalization | 74m | 18s | AIMCo | DIALOG

I'm honestly more excited about the reclad of the parking garage than anything else. It was most definitely overdue, and is very important to that stretch of 103 Ave.

The Edge (Five Oaks) Building | ?m | 10s | Five Oaks | Dub Architects

Not sure where the restaurant is going, but a top floor one would be amazing ambiance with all that glass.

    Nordic Spa | ?m | ?s | ENSOG Structures Ltd. | Dub Architects

That's very close to my house, will definitely be visiting.

    The Clancey | 103.02m | 28s | Wexford Developments | DIALOG

Honestly, it's about time. We've waited too long for quality as a city.

    Stantec Tower | 250.84m | 66s | ICE District Prop.

IanO on C2E was saying the lighting system might not be happening?

As per kcantor on C2E, who needs no introduction:

    The Clancey | 103.02m | 28s | Wexford Developments | DIALOG

This is something I had more in mind for the Augustana site. It looks great.

    West Block | 60.35m | 16s | Beaverbrook | GEC

My wife is crossing her fingers that a Starbucks opens in there as well. Would be within walking distance from our house!

    The Grand | ?m | 3s | Planworks

    Absolutely gorgeous.

    CNIB Redevelopment | 106m | 32s | ONE Properties | Wallman Architects

The removal of the floor-to-ceiling windows doesn't bother me as long as they keep the pixelated colour effect of the panelling around them.

    Bateman Lands Mid-Rise | 34m | 8s | Bateman Properties | Next Architecture

Love the gradient effect on the masonry. Wish more projects did this.

    Civic Quarters | ?m | 30s | Dub Architects

This was what was submitted to the competition that ultimately became the CoE tower in the Ice District, right? There were some great proposals submitted, I remember the redbrick one as well, it looked amazing.

    The Heights | 130.14m | 43s | Westrich Pacific | Arc Studio

Not a fan of the design at all, looks pretty standard Kennedy to me. If it's just for massing and subject to change, then I'll reserve my judgement until then.

    Infiniti | ?m | 6s | Brian Allsopp

Those look like Prison Cell windows.

    Edmonton Motors Lands Redevelopment | 170.07m | 56s | Pangman

I wish the tower wasn't so uniform. It would be interesting to see each floor's windows offset a bit to create a gradient or pattern as the tower rises.

    Mackenzie Tower | 111.86m | 34s | Urban Capital | LEMAYMICHAUD

Absolutely incredible. This can't get built fast enough.

    Stanley A. Milner Library | ?m | 6s | EPL | Teeple Architects

I'm still out on the multi-coloured glass. I know it's the brand identity of EPL, but it looks tacky. I guess we'll see what it's like once complete.
