Rising ever higher over the last several months since our last full update, Katz Group and ONE Properties' Stantec Tower has at long last come within reach of its final, 251-metre, 66-storey height, having recently passed the 60-storey mark. Thus with only a few more floors to go before topping off, Western Canada's tallest building will soon move into its final stages of construction.
Viewed above and below, Stantec Tower, standing tall alongside friendly rival, the JW Marriott, will be comprised of a 29-storey office tower component, above which an additional 36 storeys of residential living space will be placed, the two separated by an entire floor of amenity space, the latter complete with rooftop terrace.
Viewed below from the other side, the contrast between the lower office portion and the upper 483-unit SKY Residences can easily be made out, Stantec Tower's glassy reflection having already become a staple of the downtown skyline.
A central component of Edmonton's ever-epanding ICE District, Stantec Tower will soon be home to hundreds of offices workers and up to 800 permanent residents, the massive injection of pedestrian activity this project will involve to be significantly transformative for the overall urban vibrancy of the core.
SkyriseEdmonton will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out our associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
