Still quiet at the 66 St intersection

I don't think anything will happen until at least 2027. No requests for utility relocates have happened.

127st will be open at the end of next summer. Talked with a friend at Wilco, Said the girders on 115st will go in later tis fall. Crane is moved over now.

Did they update the wording on the website?

While the long-term plan for the freeway includes a partial interchange at 66 Street (22MB) the City will advance work now to improve safety and traffic operations in the area.

I guess that's it then.

They're cutting out the left turn on 66 Street from Yellowhead EB on November 28.

Maybe they're hoping for some $$ from the Feds to get this done, seeing as it's part of the Trans Canada highway system.

I'm not convinced the 66 Street interchange is even essential, especially in an environment where it would be valuable funds for the City to save (or not have to pay extra for if over budget already)

I'm hoping that a drone vid of the Yellowhead Trail construction from 124 St to 107 St is coming soon.

Agreed, just do a RIRO like was done with YHT and 149 St. If you need to cross the YHT, just go a little extra distance to Fort Road.

Any ideas on how they could still have a crossing for active transportation users nearby? That's the one thing stumping me. They say it's part of the scope for the temporary RIRO but I dunno how they'll do it.
