I’m guessing sometime next year. I'm thinking there could be some action with the 121 Street overpass too.

I don't think anything will happen until at least 2027. No requests for utility relocates have happened.Still quiet at the 66 St intersection
Yeah, that's what I was told too.I don't think anything will happen until at least 2027. No requests for utility relocates have happened.
66th Street design in 2026: https://www.edmonton.ca/projects_plans/yellowhead-trail-66-street
While the long-term plan for the freeway includes a partial interchange at 66 Street (22MB) the City will advance work now to improve safety and traffic operations in the area.
Agreed, just do a RIRO like was done with YHT and 149 St. If you need to cross the YHT, just go a little extra distance to Fort Road.I'm not convinced the 66 Street interchange is even essential, especially in an environment where it would be valuable funds for the City to save (or not have to pay extra for if over budget already)
Any ideas on how they could still have a crossing for active transportation users nearby? That's the one thing stumping me. They say it's part of the scope for the temporary RIRO but I dunno how they'll do it.Agreed, just do a RIRO like was done with YHT and 149 St. If you need to cross the YHT, just go a little extra distance to Fort Road.
