Quarry Ridge - Strathcona County Pedestrian Footbridge | ?m | ?s | River Valley Alliance

Tried to get down to look and even the upper trail lookout is closed. It is going to be a good-looking bridge though. Saw the design at my last firm.

It's one thing if they're trying to limit access to keep it safe, but all the visual barriers they've put in on both sides of the river have been interesting. Maybe a bike ride as far up as possible on the river valley trail?

Ive tried. Once you get to the north end of Quarry ridge lower trail you have to step off the trail and hike through to bush to get a look. Again from the north the upper trail is closed right at 153 ave.

Took advantage of my new to me eBike for that long in and out ride, which in reality was only 4km longer than looping back on 167 Ave. It's looking good so far and likely on schedule for the Fall 2025 opening. I wonder if that narrowing of the river channel is permanent though with the rip rap and how that might affect spring melt river flow.

This is typically temporary to allow construction of the piers in the water. It should be removed near the end when construction is almost finished.
