O-day’min Park (formerly Warehouse Park)

Do you think that there was an opportunity here to do a Transfer station? For instance, to rename the current Corona Station to O'daymin park, and that the new Valley Line LRT should have had a connection station 1 block closer, and not in the Alex Park?

I could see them do another rename Corona/O-day'min Park Station

There will be a Peace Officer/EPS and Bylaw officer stationed at the park. Trying to confirm hours.

There is also an attendant at the washrooms which are open 8am-9pm.

@Greenspace were you able to get confirmation regarding peace officer/EPS/bylaw officer hours patroling the park?
Is it temporary or will it be daily and regular occurence?

They’re all single stalled.
So what’s the security situation going to be like? What hours is it accessible? If a homeless person camps out in there, what’s the response? If a crack head goes in there, what’s the response? Just curious if you got a sense of that

There’s basically a front desk that had a guy at it. Looks like it’ll be staffed for all open hours?

Also had a janitor in the building and then a security guard walking the park while we were there.

0 cops seen anywhere downtown again today…

If that happens, the world will not end.

Please don’t have toxic empathy. It’s not ok for someone using drugs to be in the pavilion and they should be quickly removed. If my wife is in there with 2 little children trying to use a change room, she shouldn’t have to fear for the safety of our kids.

If you don’t have kids, aren’t elderly, aren’t a smaller women, etc, you really need to learn to listen to others. Your privilege is showing…
