O-day’min Park (formerly Warehouse Park)

Edgar from Autograph noted that their 7 storey concrete project will feature student housing - I think there's a pretty good chance they are one of the student housing incentive recipients.

For those in residential construction, why would Autograph opt for 7-storey concrete construction given its expense (some builders say it's not feasible) versus just going with 6 and a wood frame that would be a lot less to build?

The firepits don't look like they're drawing much of a crowd. So far nobody appears interested in sitting around them to gaze into the flames. Not even some youngsters running circles around them.

Good turnout for the opening!

Was there for a while at 6, went for dinner and came back around 7:30 and it was still busy. I am glad it snowed today too, it made for a nice cozy winter vibe instead of just a cold dry windy night.

It was nice to just sit and relax in the middle of downtown, never really done that before!

I am tempted to get a unit in The Parks now, this would make for a great back yard :)

I thought the original vision was for a downtown nature park. Not a theme park. O-Day'min is a bunch of different activity ideas that were thrown together and placed in a series of disjointed silos. There's no continuity to the park. No soul. Better than parking lots but that's not a high bar. I'm sorry but they should have named the place Stanley Milner Park. Looks like the work of the same firm.

Hey, at least the firepits ended up being natural gas after you spent the last 6 months complaining about what a terrible idea wood-burning firepits would have been :)

Why do you bother getting out of bed in the morning
