New Edmonton Casino?

You might not like them, but they are good for tourism especially from smaller communities. We're an entertainment hub today, so might as well embrace that.
I just wish we had gone the Vegas route and concentrated the casinos all in the same (preferably somewhat central) area.
Would've been interesting to have an entertainment district with casinos, hotels, theatres, etc...

No surprise people are complaining.already bout this but honestly that was to be expected. Sure there will be an increase in traffic but I wouldn't be surprised to see roadway expansion. I didn't see much in the article bout proximity to residential but I don't that is even issue considering the proximity to residential of at least 2 other casinos in Edmonton.

For any group that had to use the Camrose Casino. Your payout just about covered the costs of driving out there. It why one organization I was with had a mailing address in Edmonton so that they could get a city casino.

One argument someone used on Facebook was laughable. She said that with this project there will be a massive parking lot. Really? Now, she is having a problem with big parking lots, not when Superstore, Home Depot, Lowe's, Ikea, Walmart, oh and most of the rest of South Edm common, which of course right next door to the casino location.
