New Edmonton Casino?

The problem With the current model Clubs that are based in Leduc cannot get into the funding stream that Edmonton Based clubs get. I di one casino out at Camrose and other tha during the BVJ the traffic is nonexistent. The last casino I di in Edmonton (April) with 1/4 was about $85,000.00 The one I did in June was supposed to be higher.

You are lucky if you get 20000 at Camrose. As for adding one more casino to the mix. yes it might dilute the payouts but non profits are still clamouring for more frequent times. so it could help.

Drove by and saw a ton of Mighty Machines working the land of the once proposed Camrose Casino location - north of Ellerslie on Parsons……..hmmmmmmm

“You know that Northern Alberta money has supported Edmonton’s charities for years, but now, when it is time to give Northern charities their fair share, Edmonton refuses to share the largesse it has received,” Bonnyville-Cold Lake-St. Paul MLA Scott Cyr wrote in response to Edmonton’s opposition to the casino move."

It's only fitting that Edmonton refuses to share the wealth, since rural municipalities like Bonnyville and Cold Lake refuse to share the burden of supporting people experiencing homelessness and addiction issues.

Believe me when I tell you that there is no shortage of homelessness in either of these municipalities.

Oh yeah, I know there is. What I'm trying to say is that a lot of rural and smaller urban communities (including my home town) try to help them get to Edmonton to use the services there, instead of investing in services of their own. Given the bill Edmonton and the social agencies here have footed to hemp address this influx and its consequences, it's only fair that its charities retain those casino earnings. I know not all benefitting charities are in that sector, I'm just saying it's unfair of him to paint the picture as if Edmonton is coming out ahead in this arrangement.
