Miscellaneous

Hey, @Daveography, don't knock it -- these animated machines mow AND fertilize at the same time. I imagine that the Goat Coordinator's main task would be to ensure that the animal's mandibles don't clench onto some park-napping soul whose untucked shirt looks too appetizing to pass up.

Is that going to wrap around the Sutton too, since they are connected?

There are some weird ones like that. Noticed some AHS extension to a building out on 142 Street or 111th Ave? No idea what it was, but I think it had a crane.

@westcoastjos ATA (Alberta Teachers Association). Interesting that one given that it comes just a few years after they added some floors to the top of the existing 1960s(?) building. It's good to see them use, expand, and refit the existing structure.

I believe that used to be the ALCB once upon a time, before they built their facility in St. Albert in the 80s.

Campus Master Plan Open House
Tue, Mar 27 2018

Help us shape our Campus Master Plan.
MacEwan is developing a Campus Master Plan that will guide how the university will grow and develop over the next 25 years. And we want to hear from you.

This is an exciting moment in the university's history - a chance to take stock of our priorities, objectives, and aspirations, and determine how they will manifest themselves in the way our campus grows and evolves. When complete, the master plan will guide effective land use and the phased physical development and expansion of our campus.

We want to hear from you - join us at an Open House
Members of the community are invited to join us in an evening of discussion about the future of MacEwan University's campus and to offer input in helping to shape and define a clear direction for our Campus Master Plan. interactive graphic panels will be on display to providing information on the project purpose, process, and the outcomes of preliminary work already completed including interviews with stakeholders. Some preliminary design concepts will also be on display, along with information about the themes and key design priorities that were used to develop them.

Open House format
The Open House is an opportunity for you to mix and mingle around the panels, provide comments on the information on display, and have focused one-on-one conversations with the project team.

A presentation will be given at 6:30 p.m. which will touch on topics including:
  • the project's objectives and process
  • an overview of the first stage process and outcomes
  • what we've heard to date through the stakeholder interviews
  • a walk-though of the development concepts
  • a review of the emerging themes
  • a discussion of the key design priorities.
You'll also have the opportunity to ask questions after the presentation.

I thought the ALCB was only in the warehouse that is being renovated at 124ave and 142st. After ALCB moved out it was used as an education department ware house. The ATA building was ATA when I went to high school down the street in the late 70s.
