THIS. When I'm in the area, I'm rather astounded at how aggressive semi- drivers can be, well large work vehicles in general actually. I'm blown away when I see semis stick to the left lane on the Henday for example.I want the 120 km/hr speed limit tested on the QE2 between Edmonton and Calgary.
Also, the left-lane truck ban needs immediate action.
On the other hand, if some people were more patient and let the truck drivers change lanes back over (presumably after they've passed someone using left lane) rather than pass them on the right, that would also help.THIS. There is little excuse for not enacting a prohibition.
Experienced this driving to Kananaskis today. I was driving on Stoney Trail and pulled up to a pickup truck with a trailer in the left lane whom I wanted to pass. Not wanting to fly by on his right side, I used my left blinker and quickly flashed my brights. He signalled to move to the middle lane, but then the pickup truck behind me, also wanting to pass, just cut into the middle lane at that moment rather than waiting a little longerOn the other hand, if some people were more patient and let the truck drivers change lanes back over (presumably after they've passed someone using left lane) rather than pass them on the right, that would also help.
I mean traffic will flow great when the 4th largest state has a lower population than just the City of Edmonton (not the metro).Loved seeing in Montana that they had a speed limit for semi's and one for regular cars/trucks. The traffic flowed pretty nicely when I drove the highways there.
Alberta used to have that years ago, did it not?Loved seeing in Montana that they had a speed limit for semi's and one for regular cars/trucks. The traffic flowed pretty nicely when I drove the highways there.
I remember them having different speeds for night and day driving. Don't remember truck and car speeds.Alberta used to have that years ago, did it not?
Trucks were under 100 then it was raise to 100, Night was 100 day was 110 for cars.I vaguely recall there being a dual limit something like night time and trucks.
