High Pointe Claireview

Progress photos. Looks like at least 500 residential units. Interesting they’re going with steel with one of the developments.

I think the northwest and southwest lots are designated for commercial but the southwest lot (adjacent to Shell) has not been touched yet and just some site work on the northwest site.
I added up all the unit counts in the submitted permits and it was pushing past 800 or 900. Once the rest of the lots are developed, it could very well surpass 1000. And I think the northwest lot was recently rezoned as mixed-use, so it'll have residential too!

Also I believe it was rezoned to allow up to 13 storeys.

There is quite a bit of construction happening there. Two buildings are made of structural steel, so I'm hoping something a bit taller. I take my dog to the off leash dog park across the road all the time.

One of the wooden framed buildings just topped out recently.

Really hoping this influx of people will finally get Manning Town Centre back on track and hopefully with stores that the northeast isn't already littered with (liquor, weed, donair, pizza places)

The one wood structure building that was at five storeys last photo is now topped at the 6th floor with a roof. That's the only significant change since the last photos. I expect things to really get going again when the weather warms up.

We usually don't see apartments of this "type" being made of I-beams and metal sheets. Same developer, same project, yet 2 different building methods.....

Anybody have any details on the 13 storey building that the NW corner was rezoned for?
