Goodbye Filistix. They will be closing their downtown restaurant on December 31st. (But will maintain their university campus locations.)
 
Sure, but reducing your daily potential customer base by 20-30-50% is a very real impact and it's not just them.

The staff there are honestly amazing folks and the food fantastic, so I can see why. I'd love to see 2-3 more options though... and given their egg skills, perhaps okonomoyaki or katsudon.
 
They do have specials quite often, from the top of my head they had duck one time and pretty recently they had bulgogi. I have heard that more options will be in the works too so that's cool.

Of course but how many of those people would go out for lunch every day? Not as many as used I'd have to imagine.

No proof, just me speculating, again, due to rising food prices.
 
Honestly, if anything, I eat out more and buy less groceries given their prices. I recognize that I am not feeding a family of 4, but many places have far more value conscious options to try and bring people back.
