Black Pearl Seafood Bar opening a location in Windermere

^^^^ As I have been saying, Edmonton is like a blank slate -- it has a sense of "frontierism", an attitude of let's-take-a-swing-at-it-and-see-what-happens. There are naysayers and negative-ninnies to be sure, but, fortunately, they are in the minority (mostly they just want to self-aggrandise and boast an unsupported knowledge base).

Or maybe the so-called "naysayers and negative-ninnies" prefer to focus on local eateries and locally-owned eateries (i.e. no headquarters that have moved to the west coast) over these generic American chains.

That said, I wouldn't mind seeing a Dave & Busters in ICE District or WEM.

^^^^ To be clear, I wasn't trying to make a culinary distinction -- I was speaking more generally about a business investment sense around "Edmonton". I, too, prefer to see local businesses thrive over international chains. That said, California Pizza has a mighty fine product.

For those vegans amongst us.
