Not surprised at all about L’OCA. Their prices were too high and there are a lot of people out there struggling with the increase in food costs right now.
And even opening in a higher income neighborhood like the Parkview location doesn’t automatically spell success because apart from a few niche items, a lot of what they sold could be found within a 5-7 min drive for alot less.
If it wasnt for the staff that had been at that 142st location forever and will he missed, that locations disaster would be absolutely hilarious.
Imagine buying a store, that has all the equipment you need for what you do, a loyal clientele, and a great location, and manage to mess it up that bad. All while taking over a restaurant and a seperate building in the same strip mall. Absolute disaster
