Cafe Versailles in High Street still some of the best snacks out there... killer croissant.

Eleven Eleven (old Rigoletto's space) on 100ave/103st. We got in a bit before the start of the Oilers game and were some of the first to arrive, but there were plenty of 'reserved' spots both in the restaurant, as well as the bar/entertainment area.

We ordered a really tasty fried chicken burger (thigh) and a smash burger; both were quite good. Pricing was very fair with both under $20. Service was alright, lacking some of the basics, but ok overall.

The back is quite a large bar and VR area (super interesting to observe from the window), a couple of pool tables and some basic arcade offerings.

I look forward to going back once a few more discover this spot, as it needs a bit more of an atmosphere to really get going, but it's a neat concept and could become a regular spot for Oilers games.

I'm liking that they already have their patio space squared away. That'll be not a bad spot for one in the summer.

I have to admit that despite living nearby, I never once went to it, mostly for that reason. If I'm going to eat "upscale casual" chain food, I'll probably go to Earl's Tin Palace or Local and enjoy their patios instead.

I guess this leaves Stephenson House as the McLaren's sole remaining commercial tenant? Ouch.

Nowhere Wine Bar still exists, I believe?

I’m not too surprised. I’ve been there twice in the past 6 months and both times there were no more than maybe 6 tables occupied in the whole restaurant.

You know, maybe it's just me, but scones have got to be the most disappointing breakfast pastry. Even the best scone (Duchess does a decent job) is not something I would choose over practically anything else on the menu. It's usually too dense, too dry, or too flavorless, or all of the above.
