Looks like Continental Treat were evicted from their Jasper Ave location too?

"In a statement, the city said it doesn’t currently have a lease in place with Continental Treat because it was terminated by their bankruptcy trustee earlier this month.

It added the city had already arranged an alternative payment schedule with the business for unpaid rent when it received notice from the bankruptcy trustee.

Real estate branch manager Chris Hodson writes, “as a responsible landlord, we can’t allow anyone to use the space without a lease and the appropriate insurance in place, especially when there are other tenants living in the building.”

The statement acknowledged the restaurant’s hope to obtain a temporary lease but said it cannot legally enter into a new lease with a company that has entered bankruptcy
"

And there's the other side of the story. City would've had no choice to be evict them if that was indeed the case.

Death By Chocolate doughnuts will compel me to visit Fawkes more often!

Had breakfast at OEB on Rice Howard Way this morning. The Threesome breakfast was good, although the serving was much smaller than what I can get other breakfast eateries. Pricewise, OEB is more expensive. I'm not sure if it was the lesser quantity + higher prices or if it was the inclement weather this morning, but OEB was much quieter than before. In the past, it was always a full house. I hope it doesn't shutdown, but these days you never know. Mackenzie is an awesome server as always, and she is the best reason why I'll return.

^^ I've always found that OEB was about 2 or 3 bucks more than it should be. But what stopped me from going was the incessant rushing you out the door. I get they want to turn over the tables as quickly as they can, but getting prompted to settle the bill before I've finished my meal or coffee... yeah I'm done with that. Rosewood is better, and Craft's breakfasts are unknown/underrated if I'm in that area.

Are you sure Craft is open for breakfast? I was under the impression they only had weekend brunch starting at 11 am.

For breakfast, there is also a Cora's downtown on 106 Street a bit south of Jasper Ave. I haven't been there for a while, but when I last went it seemed good.

Rosewood is exceptional! Their roast broccoli sandwich, which I realise sounds super weird, is one of those things I continue to dream about after having had it. So damn good. And those crullers? 🤤
