Federal Politics

Yup they both spent time going to School in Edmonton and both still have family here as well.

Listening to Trumpeter today, The man really does hate PMJT. Gave a reprieve to Mexico but not Canada. And the rhetoric coming out of the Fox media. I didn't know we were overrun by Mexican cartels.

Fox News - used to watch it for the Comedy Factor - some days I don't whether to laugh or cry at how stupid those people can be. Between Jesse Watters, Hannity, Ingraham, Carlson (gone) - the combined IQ levels of all of them would measure that of a flea. You can't even make up stupidity like that.

JT calling Trump's Tariff Policy "dumb" undoubtedly set off the Orange-is-the-new-Dumb and set his dander into disco-mode. If it had been an in-person meeting like Ukraine's Volodymyr Zelenskyy had to endure, I think JT might have slapped him and challenged him to a boxing duel.

Love this article on CTV National/Canada News: Bay Street veteran David Rosenberg says

"“We do have actually ample fiscal room at the federal level to cushion the blow to the provinces that would take this action, but I come from the mentality that when the bully in the schoolyard gives you a black eye, you don’t punch back, you go burn down his house,” he said."

^ There certainly is some of that, but if you have followed him from his New York "clubbing" days to the present you have to conclude that this guy 1. has a few screws loose, 2. is a consummate racist, 3. is a terrible businessman (who owns casinos and watches them go bankrupt one after the other), 4. is a playboy who has little to no respect for women and who views them as playthings for his own pleasure, 5. doesn't like to read and lacks critical thinking ability, 6. loves to see his mug on TV, 7. flaunts the law on any level that he chooses, 8. loves to bully (particularly on subjects for which he has little or no understanding and his debate opponents far exceed his mental capabilities), 9. loves to stare in the mirror, and 10. is an expert at making a few select strands of hair cover a lot of empty space.

Absolutely - "take it with a grain of salt" doesn't mean "and ignore the dead fish underneath."

It's not so much that Trump is an idiot. He's an Idiot with a following. It's amazing how many spineless people are there just for the position to perceived power. (Perceived because I don't think he is in full control). We've also seen how easy it is to play him.

The ongoing dilemma here is do you tell Trump his ideas are stupid, given he has a lot of power and is often vindictive in response to criticism. If you nice, he either doesn't get it or ignores more subtle criticism.

Then you have almost everyone in his own party saying how great and smart he is because they are also afraid to stand up. At times its like the emperor has no clothes and so many are afraid to speak honestly.
