Coincidentally, there is “Chipotle Coming Soon” sign in SEC…..in an old strip building that housed Tommy Hilfiger….its fenced off and looks like it’s demo’d as we speak

Coincidentally, Firehouse was recently bought up by RBI ……owner of Tim Hortons (US) so in reality Tim’s is no more Canadian than any of those other chains

Taxes and wages count as local…..it’s not like the sub sandwiches or burritos are Sea-canned in from China……the 20% royalty kick back from sales to their head offices in the states is the only non-local thing about franchises

Shake shack in ice district actually might make a lot of sense based on the locations I have been to, which utilized large patios and public plazas in high foot traffic areas - dt portland, reforma Mexico city
