River is at the high normal. 4.46 meters at 460 cubic meters a second. It's usually down around 3.8 to 4. So maybe next week. And the mud should subside. Get that nice mountain green

Noticed the new foot bridge over Connors road was being used over the weekend. Still needs deck work but they set up temporary decking.

Noticed this morning the 7th Cable for the bridge is stretched along the deck getting ready for installation.

Present for Archited and anyone else with an obsession with the new footbridge. It's open! There is a temporary deck, akin to what is being used to cover the tracks downtown. The bridge is beautiful; the steelwork is impeccable, and the unity of form with the U-shaped girder-deck and undulating railings is very zen to be in. The railings are quite tall, and heavier in person. that being said, the haunches of the girder create an impromptu bench to sit on or climb. It's also wide, at least as wide as what was there before, without the intruding railings and truss sections overhead. I hope the deck is kept smooth, with no curbs or random sidewalk things (idk, i keep thinking of the Peace Bridge in Calgary, I worry this might go that way). Otheriwise it's really pleasant! Someone with better photography skills than me needs to get down there to get some great photos!

Also, railbed work under the bridge is progressing quickly, bike path (I think?) heading up Connor's Road, and the Muttart Stop has most of its rebar! (and obligatory pic of the bridge being like, 25' from done, idk it's crazy close)

Final Cables are up on the bridge today. So now its just the last push to connect the ends.
