I used to think that, but honestly, faux for faux sake is not the right way to go in my opinion. I'd rather see a modern interpretation to be honest.

The market didn’t screw this up, Council did by allowing something they shouldn’t have.

From my understanding, Admin/Council permitted the demo to time with the LRT construction to be LESS disruptive overall, as Regency had plans to move on this site, but then things drastically changed.

Yes, at some point as a city we need to come to terms with some of our bigger mistakes and fix them. Its what grown ups do.
