He's still on pace to eclipse both, considering he has two more games to play than MacKinnon and one more than Kuch.
If we consider the pace he's been at since the All-Star (2.2ppg) he'll be 3 points away from 1000 by the end of regular season.
McDavid is simply on another level... These guys had a whole season of high performance, with barely any slumps. At one point, they were over 25 points ahead of him, after the terrible October and early November he had... Honestly, the last time we saw something like this might've been Lemieux.

While the focus has been on McDavid's race to another Art Ross Trophy and Hyman's race to 50 (now 60?) and the team closing in on first in the division, it's interesting to take note of the fact that 5 of the top 14 plus/minus leaders in the entire league at the moment are Edmonton Oilers (2nd, 6th, 7th, 12th and 14th).

Goes to show how much more balanced the team is, this season, compared to previous years.

Also good to notice how much the blue line has been contributing offensively, and not just Bouchard, but Nurse and Ekholm (and even Ceci, Desharnais and Kulak, to a smaller degree). Just as important as the forwards (especially the core) contributing defensively.

If this guy could have EVER stopped the FIRST shot on net in ANY game - he would have had the potential to be a keeper....kind of liked him....too bad it didn't work out here
