Yep, iirc the re-alignment is actually happening in order to accomodate that bridge!

I think that the two towers will have suspension wires up first, far above the railway tracks at the Walker/Calder Yard. I'm also wondering how much will be modular construction.

The re-alignment, where the Yellowhead dodged the runway, has been talked about since before the Muni closed, which was before there was any concrete plans the Yellowhead work we are seeing now from what I recall.

I would be surprised if there were no pedestrian and bike lanes on the bridge.

I think the bridge includes a multi-use path.

Interesting to know, I wonder what the other reasons would be. Just cause it's better for highways to be straight where possible? I was going off of this point on page 11 of the St Albert Trail — 97 St. concept book: "Yellowhead Trail will be realigned and straightened to remove the curve between 121 Street and 107 Street. This will accomodate plans for a future LRT bridge."

The two towers will have to be built outside the Walker/Calder yards. Any construction would have to be above the train tracks, with no stoppages to train traffic.

Looks like crews are busy laying rails west of the current NAIT station. Also, the new station looks a lot more imposing in person.

I'd really love to see at least the new NAIT station opened by late 2023 so that at least we get to see a little bit of progress with LRT in this city.

Nice to see some positive PR for LRT. I think Blatchford will start to grow once this part of the LRT is done.
