I am curious what could be going there. Hopefully another hotel and retail combo?

I am thinking another hotel could easily be built - and of course - 99.9% will be retail

I cannot see AC filling this, maaaaaaaybe BA if we can demonstrate regular J-class and shared with YYC so 3 days a week.

Sadly, WJ is likely out of the picture for a route like this.

Is there really demand for a Walmart here though? Costco doesn’t have a warehouse closeby so they can pull customers from Deep South Edmonton, Devon, Leduc, Beaumont etc. There’s already a Walmart in Leduc, Beaumont is closer to the 50th St/Ellerslie Rd WM and they’re supposedly building one in South Edmonton (I’d assume somewhere near Chapelle/Desroches/Allard).

I was only being half serious. Can you imagine the traffic at that intersection?

A good hotel makes sense (much as I would love to see another nice hotel closer to the terminal). Would like to see some of the vision with restaurant patios in that little lake they built come to life.

If YEG was part of Edmonton, the Air points wouldn't need to add parking.
