Well in that case, than yah bring it on. 
My point being that if we're going to have 200m+ towers they should have a positive impact on the appearance of the city given the prominence their height would give them.

I absolutely agree. And I hate vast amount of stucco shown in their render just like you. Its unfortunate they are building front and centre of the Edmonton skyline and apparently do not see themselves as part of the solution to create beautiful architecture in Edmonton's downtown despite the prominence of the location. Sad really - its shows the worse side of this developer.Well in that case, than yah bring it on.
