Townhouse windows look nothing like the render. I think the punch out windows and lack of glazing will be depressing particularly for families with children.

^ I disagree with that. I find the actual build to the render fairly close, for sure some differences but close in my opinion and not offensive at all.
What am I missing, I find nothing depressing and really like the street presence and imagine it will only get better once it's not a construction site. Just my opinion though.
Reposting @JC_Yeg' shot with render for comparison. I think it's typical that there's usually a little "render magic' going on, which I don't appreciate much.

The only thing with urban townhouses like the is that they are shoebox in layout and often dark towards the back.

The renderings are pretty close to accurate vis-a-vis the reality -- the one end unit shows a larger window in the rendering; all of the others precisely match the built result.

Yeah, the townhouses will probably be dark in the afternoon - not much you can do about that on a ground floor with exclusively east exposure. Presumably though they'll be able to shoot up to that enormous looking rooftop amenity area and catch some afternoon sun
