But no, that's disappointing. While I've only gone a couple times, I quite enjoyed it overall, and the concept is needed in Ice District, as it at least has some entertainment options.
Went for a work event once where we had the whole space rented out. Tried to activate the bowling and they wanted us to pay an extra 90$ per lane. Never went back

From an optimistic perspective, maybe it gives the Canadian Brewhouse a chance to focus on just doing one thing instead of having to manage that whole complex and several concepts. I found there wasn't a ton of differentiation between their venues there and was confused on where I needed to go.

As I recall Cineplex backed out citing the drop in Movie attendance as the main factor in their decision -- it was a bold concept at the time combining moves with a dining experience and it would have been a powerful motivator in terms of downtown growth for Edmonton. The stay-at-home trends in today's world with online ordering (the biggest killer of bricks-and-mortar retail) and smart phone communication (Facebook, Instagram, etc. leading to a dearth in direct person-to-person communication) leaves us with a lot fewer choices -- the good news is that the battle back is beginning to resonate especially with older demographics.
